Methodology
Mean (average) nominal monthly earnings of employees in Thai baht, as published by the International Labour Organization in ILOSTAT. ILO calculates the figures from Thailand's Labour Force Survey (HIES - Household Socio-Economic Survey; LFS - Labour Force Survey). Employees are people in paid employment; the self-employed and own-account workers, a large part of Thailand's workforce, are not included. Earnings are not adjusted for inflation. The mean is pulled up by high earners and is higher than what a typical employee earns.
No values are published for 2001–2006 and 2008–2010; those years are absent, not estimated.
The 2015 value is markedly lower than 2014 and 2016; ILOSTAT does not flag a break in the series. It is shown as published.
