About ThailandStats

ThailandStats is an English-language reference for statistics about Thailand. It collects official and international data on tourism, population, the economy and Thailand's provinces, and presents each figure with its source, period, unit and method.

What we publish

Each statistics page combines three things:

• Data taken from a named publisher, such as a Thai government ministry, the Bank of Thailand or the World Bank, with the date it was released and the date we retrieved it.
• Charts and tables generated directly from that data, so the numbers in the text, the chart and the table always match.
• Context written by people: what the figure measures, how it is collected and what it cannot tell you.

We do not publish figures we cannot attribute. Where sources disagree, we show both and explain the difference.

Who it is for

Journalists, researchers, students, businesses and anyone who needs a Thai statistic they can cite. Every page states the original publisher so you can cite the primary source directly.

Independence

ThailandStats is an independent, standalone publication. It is not affiliated with the Thai government or any of the agencies whose data we republish, and inclusion of a statistic is not an endorsement by its publisher. The site carries no advertising.

Corrections

If you find an error, a figure that no longer matches its source, or a source we should use, please contact us. Corrections to published figures are made promptly and noted on the page with the date of the change. See the methodology for how data is checked.

Status

ThailandStats is under construction. Topics are being added one at a time, starting with tourism, and each page goes live only once its data has been sourced and checked.
